Let me write this self-celebration post.

In 6 months of opening, the blog has received a little less of 2,000 visits with 854 visitors, including loyal and occasional.
What makes me happy is the high number of downloads: 319 in total.
The most hit series is “Highschool of the Dead”, with 8 complete downloads with the peak of the first episode with 53 downloads (as I know, is the novelty), followed by “Spirited Away” with 7 complete downloads (15 the first part) and “From the new World” with 3 complete downloads (9 the first episode).
The first episode of the new series “Time of Eve” has reached the quota of 11 downloads in a single week.

What can I say? Thank you all.

The 11th iso’s saga!!!

Well, it’s certain: CD32 cannot stream at 250 KB/s, or better: CD32 CD player can operate only at 150 KB/s or 300 KB/s.
So I made another (ultimately, hope) version of the 11th iso: now both 11th episode and OAV are at 12fps 24KHz 300KB/s.
I just cut some “black frames” at the end of OAV to fit perfectly in a single CD-ROM.

I’m working hard on the next release, it’s another masterpiece although it has no enjoyed great success with the public: a very intriguing story, with adult themes, great pathos… in short, it’s a great anime.
To avoid an excessive CD spindle (and to follow the japanese release) I need to know if I can use a different stream from the canonical 300 KB/s, so I can squeeze two episodes on a single CD.
I have a courtesy to ask you: please, download the 11th iso of Highschool of the Dead and run the oav (by pressing “blue” button) and tell me if it works on a real CD32.

YES!

I found the problem of the 11th iso: I tried to build the iso in a large Windows partition, and the AmigaOS 3.1 failed to recognize free space.
So, I made a little partition (less than 4GB) and build the iso there.

The 11th iso revised and corrected is here (offline).

Now the 11th episode is 12fps 24KHz audio, the oav is 10fps 20KHz.

I’ve got some problems while making iso for the 11th episode… I tried to fit the oav “Drifters of the Dead” (very funny) but ISOCD refused to build the iso…

Strange to say, I builded isos bigger than this, and they worked well: iso of episode 7th is 575 MB, it contains a bigger amount of files and I had got only some problems with long names.
Apparently, ISOCD can build isos of 590 MB maximum, but I stayed ever on less than 550 MB with episode 11 and oav both in full bitrate…

I dunno why, so I changed bitrate for both videos: 10 fps (250 KB/s) for the main episode and 6 fps (160 KB/s) for the oav.
Then, the iso is now around 500 MB and works well in winuae, let me know if it works on real CD32.
